Motion Blur - For Video export.
Hi,
Recently I have been making a few animations using Spine, but to export as videos (not to use in any gaming engine). I know that this is not a priority or even is meant for. But Spine is such a nice tool for rigging skeletons, and it can be used very nicely together with After Effects, and character animator.
I was wondering if in the future you guys could add motion blur on png or video exports. I understand that motion blur may not work on runtimes, but it's very useful for creating videos.
As a work around, now I am exporting pngs, and using Re:Vision plugin to add the motion blur in post. But the render times become astronomical.
I already know more people that are using spine for exporting videos as well and it'd be great to see this feature implemented in the future.
My two cents.
Thanks for the great work at Esoteric software.

It's an interesting idea. It's easiest for Spine to do it, since we know which pixels correspond across frames. I can't make promises when we'll get to it, but I created an issue so the idea doesn't get lost:

Thanks Nate,
Even though there are some plugins for AE that can do rigging and skeletal animations, I can really see a lot of potential for Spine, to be used in the animation video world. Spine is very powerful and so easy for fast rigging some pretty nice setups with mess deformation. If it was easier to export data back and forth, Ideally in both rendered and just data I think Spine could also expand the people who use it.
Thanks a lot.
Hey!
Any news? :\ Trying to do some logo animation and character animation but my only workaround are vector based motion blur effects in After Effects.
Also maybe to be able to render motion vectors would be helpful too!
Unfortunately we haven't been able to get to the motion blur feature. I think it would be really cool to do, but we've been focused on a lot of other important things.
We do plan to support motion vectors, meaning drawing the path a bone takes over time.

Thanks Nate for the update.
Lately I had to do a few video animations, and I had to use Moho instead Spine because I needed motion blur on export. I know it's not a priority for Spine but there are many things I missed from Spine and I'd love to go back and use it. :-) Granted I am not a professional animator, so maybe I'm more familiar with Spine than Moho, but Spine is awesome!
