  • 3.8.99: 'Key Attachments' shortcut doesn't apply to hidden

Hi Nate and crew,

I'm hoping this wont be hardest thing to change and push. It would be tremendously helpful if 'Key Attachments' shortcut also keyed selected attachments that are invisible. Copying over skeletons with 4-5 builds of a character are a real chore when slots containing attachments have multiple attachments in them. I can't mass hide, mass reveal a skeleton without a lot of triple-checking during revisions and our characters are HEAVY. Some of these attachments turned off by default also don't have default Attach keys on them so Ctrl+Shift+L doesn't work on them.

Being able to drop a row of keys for attachments with a shortcut regardless of visibility would be a great advantage for our animators.

Thanks for your time!

Hello,
Did you try to use CTRL+L instead? This shortcut keys all transforms on selection, regardless if active or not (I just tested it, and it does what you described in your request), unlike CTRL+SHIFT+L which only keys all keyed dopesheet items.

Oh nice! Thanks Erika! I never saw any changes when using CTRL+L in the past so I didn't consider it at all.

I tried it when I got back to work and CTRL + L doesn't work. I know in this particular case Ctrl+Shift+L will work but in the cases where there's no keyframe, CTRL+L also doesn't work.

Noticing that CTRL+L is keying Deform on mesh and visibility on Region. That seems to be the issue and almost everything used is mesh for this project.

Hmm you are right. I tested another hotkey and made sure it works.

  1. Open the hotkeys file.
  2. Search for " Key Attachment:" and replace the line with "Key Attachment: ctrl + alt + L".
  3. Save the txt file, then restart Spine.
  4. At this point you can filter the tree on slots and press cltr+alt+L and the attachments will be keyed even if hidden or a mesh.

I hope this will also work for you smoothly!

OO! Good trick with filtering slots!

Works great, Thanks Erika!
