question - new skin with a larger scale
We made a new character that is aligned with the original model for joints, but it's 40% bigger. It is very mesh heavy (most the pieces are meshes) also isn't perfectly matching the original images as it has larger tufts of hair and bigger claws and such, but as stated before it's pivot points are in the same places, is there a way to make an alt skin that is just bigger or will this require a new rig entirely?
Maybe make them the same size and only draw the bigger monster scaled up in game.
From the attached image, it seems that the proportions are almost the same, so it could certainly be done the way pinguin answered. However, if the joints are partially in different positions, you may want to use skin constraints to alter the proportions of a character. Here is a tutorial on our blog:
