Hi i just wanted to install Spine in my MacBook and its says: "Install spine.pkg" cant be opened because it is from an unidentified developer.
A discussion thread was previously opened on this issue, but the site where the solution was stated was closed. That's why I don't know how to solve this situation. Can you help?
Thanks in advance,

To install Spine on your MacBook Air with an M1 chip, you need to bypass the macOS security feature called Gatekeeper, which blocks applications from unidentified developers. Here are the steps to allow the installation:

    1. Open "System Preferences" on your Mac.
    2. Go to "Security & Privacy."
    3. In the "General" tab, you should see a message saying "Spine.pkg was blocked from use because it is not from an identified developer." Click the "Open Anyway" button next to this message.
    4. A prompt will appear asking if you are sure you want to open the application. Click "Open" to proceed with the installation.

This should allow you to install Spine on your Mac. If you encounter further issues, you might want to check if the application is compatible with Rosetta 2, which allows running Intel-based applications on Apple Silicon Macs.

If your macOS is preventing the installer from running, it's likely due to Gatekeeper.
Please try following the steps suggested in this forum thread, and let us know if you still have trouble installing Spine.
