  • [Editor] Poor performance on large files (Low framerate)

Hi,

We have a spine rig consisting of one skeleton with a lot of skins and attachments. This has become rather large and while editing it spine runs at between 6-12 fps. Which is a bit of pain to work with. The skeleton is not overly complex in itself (humanoid character for 2d sidescrolling).

Is this a known issue? Any hope for an improvement?

Whoa. How on earth do you have 200 000 verts just for a 2D sprite-based skeleton?

Does the Metrics view include non-visible/unused attachments?

We have many skins and attachments for customization. I'm guessing that is causing it.

Didn't see your question at first. I am not the one working with it directly so I don't know.

In that case, I doubt the vertex count is what's slowing it down. That's interesting though.
Has it always been slow, or just in the recent 3.0.x versions?

We had some issues one time we updated so we froze it at an older version. We tried the newest version but there was no change.

Other than that it looks like it has gotten slower over time when adding new attchments and skins.
